Steve W. Jordan
For State Represtative – 151st District – Missouri
I served the taxpayers faithfully for 16 and a half years in Stoddard Co. Missouri with common sense for the good of the people, to the best of my ability! I would appreciate your vote for State Represtative of Missouri.
Vision, Issues, & Values
Hello, my name is Steve Jordan and I am 66 years old. I have been a resident of the Advance area for 60 of those years. My wife Danielle and I have 4 daughters, 3 sons-in-law. We also have five grandchildren and we all live in District 1.
I was previously the Vice President, general manager, and Co-owner of Heavy Duty TRUX in Bloomfield. I was employed there for 34.5 years. I am very pleased to be an active member of the Cape County Cowboy Church. I served on the leadership team there for three years. I am truly blessed to serve on the barrel horse ministry team. With this we put on barrel clinics to believers and future believers as well as having devotions at each clinic.
I served as your Stoddard County District 1 Commissioner for six years.
Pike Township Road Board. During this time, stewardship and common sense were invoked in all we did as a board for the taxpayers. The township went from a balance of $78,000 in April when I was sword in, to well over $350,000 in April of my last year as a board member. With no tax increase we upgraded equipment, improved maintenance on roads, culverts, bridges, and ditches.
District 1 Commissioner. Common sense and stewardship saved taxpayers approximately $2 million on a bridge in the Crowder-Zeta Special Road District. Upon my suggestion, the Commission worked with Smith and Company to persuade MODOT to allow the use of BRO funds, for the first time in history, to be used for a bridge repair and not a total replacement. The bridge had a 132 foot floor and was deemed deficient by the state and needed to be replaced. The deck was good, each approach was good, but the pilings were the problem. Smith and Co. came up with a design to sleeve the pilings. The repair extended the life of the bridge for approximately twenty-five years at zero cost to the local taxpayers!
As your 151st District Representative, I will use a conservative, common sense approach to government. I am fiscally conservative and I hate Governmental, wasteful spending. If you’d like a change in the way things are run in Jefferson City, vote for me August 4th.
